Hello and Welcome
Just like you and so many others in general practice we found ourselves struggling to provide good care patients who travel. It never seemed to have enough time to provide quality care and stay on schedule. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve tried it all and nothing works, you are not alone.
I know exactly how you feel, but then I started experimenting with some simple changes that revolutionized the way I take care of my patients when they travel.
When I started out I opened a free-standing travel medicine clinic. But patients didn’t like it. They wanted to come to my established general practice to get prepared for their trips.
Slowly I began working on ways to see travel patients within a busy practice. Now I am seeing more patients and they are happier than ever with their care.
Of course, it took a while and there were a few bumps in the road, but eventually, I figured it out. My three-part coaching program helps you add travel medicine services to your existing medical practice. Quickly and easily.
Through Travel Ready MD I can help you be a ‘Travel Ready’ doctor, one who helps patients stay healthy and safe when traveling.
I am a practicing physician and coach. I help general practitioners create a clear path to adding travel medicine service to their practice so that they can grow their practice and take better care of their patients who travel.
Why We Do This
A few years ago I noticed that a lot of my patients were overwhelmed with how to prepare for international travel. I was frustrated with the over-emphasis on travel vaccines as the only way to prepare for travel abroad.
All the while people were missing the real health problems, the ones that commonly affect travelers. The problems that shorten trips or interrupt your ability to enjoy the trip. There was confusion between healthy travel and getting ‘all the right shots’
I knew I could help since I counseled people every day about how to get healthy in my primary care practice. Often motivating them to make meaningful changes to improve their health.
Over the years I have learned is that oftentimes its simple changes that make the biggest difference in health outcomes. No hype or drama, just healthy changes that have been shown to work time and time again. This is true for travel health too.
